چکیده
In this work, we introduce Log(v) 3LPF, a linear power flow solver for unbalanced three-phase distribution systems. 3LPF uses logarithmic transform of the voltage phasor to linearize AC equations around balanced case. We incorporate modeling ZIP loads, transformers, capacitor banks, switches and their corresponding controls express network in matrix-vector form. With scalability mind, special attention is given computation inverse system admittance matrix, Ybus. use Sherman-Morrison-Woodbury identity an efficient rank-k corrected matrix compare performance method with traditional LU decomposition methods using Big- $\mathcal {O}$ notation. showcase variety sizes, ranging from tens thousands nodes, commercial-grade software, such as OpenDSS.

Newton Power Flow Methods for Unbalanced Three-Phase Distribution Networks
Two mismatch functions (power or current) and three coordinates (polar, Cartesian and complex form) result in six versions of the Newton–Raphson method for the solution of power flow problems. In this paper, five new versions of the Newton power flow method developed for single-phase problems in our previous paper are extended to three-phase power flow problems. Mathematical models of the load,...

This paper provides a new approach for power flow and modeling analysis of three phase unbalanced radial distribution systems (URDS) using the simple forward/backward sweep-based algorithm. A three phase load flow solution is proposed considering voltage regulator and transformer with detailed load modeling, for the transformer modeling symmetrical components theory is used and zero sequence-vo...
متن کاملThree Phase Power Flow for Distribution Systems with Dispersed Generation
This paper describes the development of a three phase distribution system power flow program. The program is developed without any radial topology assumptions and thus can be used to solve both radial as well as meshed networks without any restrictions. Distributed generation, any combination of different types of loads including constant power, constant current and constant impedance with floa...
متن کاملPower Flow Analysis for Balanced and Unbalanced Radial Distribution Systems
This paper reports on an efficient method of power flow analysis for solving balanced and unbalanced radial distribution systems. The radial distribution system is modelled as a series of interconnected single feeders. Using Kirchoff’s laws, a set of iterative power flow equations was developed to conduct the power flow studies. Due to the voltage dependency of loads in distribution systems, va...

This paper presents a novel power flow formulation and an effective solution method for general unbalanced radial distribution systems. Comprehensive models are considered including lines, switches, transformers, shunt capacitors, cogenerators, and several types of loads.
